Connect Staffing is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for a warehouse in Houston, TX. In this role, you will operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers, move and stack pallets, and inspect incoming and outgoing cargo. Full-time hours are available with an immediate start.
Pay:$15.00–$18.00/hr (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time; schedule may vary
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Temporary (approx. 1 month)
Work Environment: Warehouse
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Inspect cargo for damage before and after handling and report any issues.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse or yard duties as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ year of forklift operating experience.
- Must have experience handling and moving IBC containers and industrial drums in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Experience loading ocean containers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a logistics, distribution, or cargo handling environment.
- Familiarity with pallet jack and other warehouse material handling equipment.
- Experience reading and verifying shipping documents or load manifests.
- Ability to work varying shifts as project needs change.
- Forklift certification or documented safety training.
- Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the full shift.
- Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
- Drug screen required.
- Background check required.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify).
