Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Chicago, IL. This contract role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students learning needs and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing academic or behavioral concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
- Monitor and evaluate intervention outcomes to ensure effective student progress
- Assist in crisis response and prevention initiatives within the school community
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license as required by Illinois state standards
- Experience working with K-12 students in a public or private school setting
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, data interpretation, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse populations
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
