Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Associate (1st Shift) ($19-21/hr.)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Associates to join either Assembly Department or Saw Operator Department. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today!

M - TH, 6:30am - 4:30pm

Overtime is voluntary!

Saw Operator Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate metal fabrication equipment such as laser burning machines, rollers, brake presses, drills, and saws.
  • Move materials manually or using hoists or forklifts and secure them in fixtures or tables.
  • Align and verify positioning using measuring instruments to determine reference points and compute layout dimensions.
  • Complete first article inspections and verify completed workpieces for defects to control scrap waste and sort defective pieces.
  • Use hand tools to grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for further finishing.
  • Create layouts and outline sequence of operations, applying knowledge of stock allowances, trigonometry, and metal properties.
  • Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
  • Set up and recall programs, place material, and position the cutting head for the operation of laser and plasma cutting tables.
  • Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and passenger vehicles.
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities to support manufacturing and fabrication operations.

Assembler Responsibilities

-Set up the assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials according to the work order.

• Layout and position wire harnesses, subassemblies, and hoses according to prints.

• Align, position and assemble components using hand tools, including impacts and torque tools.

• Installs moving parts such as engines, clutches, pumps, hoses, and bearings.

• Drills, taps, or reams holes as necessary.

• Fabricate and weld parts using MIG wire, as needed.

• Ability to paint small parts as necessary.

• Test the portable hydraulic units and plumb them to the unit.

• Use overhead cranes and jib cranes to maneuver and assemble large assemblies.

• Test the unit as needed with hydraulic pressure gauges, checking for pressure and leaks.

• Performs and documents pre/post inspections.

• May transport vehicles in a safe and respectful manner.

• Additional duties as assigned.

  • 1+ years of forklift experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The work environment includes the use of various metal fabrication technologies and equipment, and safety protocols are rigorously followed. All overtime is handled as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
