Job Description
The Service & Repair Technician I is responsible for servicing and repairing products by following detailed work instructions in a standard production environment that is not environmentally controlled and involves exposure to hazardous materials. This role requires the ability to understand written and verbal instructions, perform hands-on repair tasks, and document work accurately both on paper and in computer software. The technician will read and confirm work instructions for each assignment, ensure they are properly trained before performing tasks, collect necessary materials, and set up the workstation according to instructions. They will carry out service and repair activities, inspect their own work, and learn new procedures as required by the supervisor. Additional responsibilities include completing required training, supporting team members as needed, and assisting with special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications
Candidates should have one to three months of related experience or training. They must show proof of Hepatitis B vaccination or be willing to obtain company-paid vaccination. The role requires the ability to read and understand device and work instructions, accurately record data in documentation and software, and follow verbal directions from supervisors. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and must have close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Basic Windows computer skills and basic math skills are required, including the ability to work with standard units of American money, weight, measurement, volume, and distance. Candidates must be able to follow detailed written or oral instructions and handle simple problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
