We are seeking a Controls Engineering Manager to fill a leadership role in our growing Mission Critical Team, supporting multiple projects in the data center industry while leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians.

- Successful delivery of automation projects, often as the Technical Lead with ownership of all deliverables.
- Conformance of project deliverables to E Tech processes & standards, and to client specifications.

In this role you will have both technical and management responsibilities:
Technical
- Work as part of a team or as the project lead to design, develop, test, and deploy control systems.
- Specify and configure various hardware components such as, instrumentation, PLCs, communication systems and industrial control panels.
- Design and configure PLC/SCADA networks.
- Generate test procedures and forms.
Management
- Coordinate and manage engineering associates, typically 3-6 direct reports.
- Mentor and support career development of direct reports.
- Work cooperatively with engineering, design, production, and field service staff.
- Assist with the development of project budgets and schedules and contribute to key decisions regarding management of project assets.
- Meet with clients to ensure that we are meeting project acceptance criteria and to participate in driving our growth with them.
- Serve as an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.
To be considered for this position you must have and be able to demonstrate:
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent educational background.
- 10+ years in industrial automation / controls integration industry.
- A high level of proficiency with the following controls platforms: Rockwell Automation – Control Logix, Inductive Automation – Ignition (Perspective)
- Experience leading teams in the design, development, and deployment of challenging industrial automation projects.
- Knowledge of standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Experience with process controls instrumentation.
- 3+ years managing / mentoring a group of direct reports, including conducting annual performance reviews.
- A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
- A passion for continuous improvement (self, direct reports, and the company).
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30%.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, lift a minimum of 50lbs and walk up and down stairs and or fixed ladders numerous times.
