Job Description Shape the night shift that keeps our lines running

At ConMet’s Canton, NC facility, you’ll be the go-to expert when molding presses and assembly equipment need attention. Picture this: a molding machine throws an alarm at 2:17 a.m.—you’re already on the move, isolating the issue, reading the prints, and getting production back online.

Role snapshot: Perform maintenance and repairs on injection molding and assembly equipment, tackle both reactive and preventive work, and help drive continuous improvement across the plant.

What you’ll take on

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of injection molding and assembly mechanical systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime
• Support continuous improvement projects and participate in root cause analysis
• Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations, including the NFPA 70E Arc Flash PPE and procedures
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position.

What helps you succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred
• 2+ years of maintenance mechanic experience preferred; mechanical aptitude considered in lieu of direct experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Proficient with hand and power tools for repairs and installations
• Background in field service, hydraulic systems, or industrial electrician work is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
