Position Summary

The Installer I is responsible for safely and efficiently installing seismic and structural project details according to plans, drawings, and specifications. This role involves regular use of power tools, lift equipment, ladders, and scaffolding in an active construction environment. A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, reliability, attendance, and punctuality is essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install project details per plans, drawings, and instructions

  • Safely operate power tools, including but not limited to:

    • Drills

    • Saws

    • Nail guns and screw guns

    • Grinders

    • Sprayers

  • Operate lift equipment as required, including:

    • Scissor lifts

    • Boom lifts

    • Forklifts

  • Perform work using ladders, picks, and scaffolding

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines

  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not supervise staff

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience working in a construction or installer role

  • Experience using basic power tools (drills, saws, nail guns, screw guns)

  • Willingness to work variable schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed

  • Reliable transportation to job sites

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Experience

  • Experience or training working on ladders, picks, and scaffolding

  • Experience using lift equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, or forklifts

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely under supervision

  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, professional attitude

  • Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship

Safety Expectations

  • Wear and properly maintain required PPE, including:

    • Steel-toe boots

    • Safety vest

    • Hard hat

    • Safety glasses

  • Use fall protection equipment when performing elevated work

  • Act as or work with a spotter to identify and address jobsite hazards

  • Follow all safety rules, procedures, and training requirements at all times

Work Environment

  • Outdoor construction settings

  • Moderate to loud noise levels

  • Routine exposure to dust, fumes, weather conditions, and construction-related hazards

  • Work may involve uneven or slippery surfaces, overhead work, tall ladders, and proximity to moving or powered equipment

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing

  • Ability to work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment

  • Ability to perform overhead work and repetitive hand and arm movements

  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and coordination to safely operate tools in a construction environment
