Senior Accountant
Location: Clayton, Missouri (Onsite)

Position Overview
A well-established organization in the construction and building materials industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role will primarily support senior accounting leadership and will be responsible for core month-end accounting activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, internal controls, and audit support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a deadline-driven environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform weekly and monthly bank account reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and post general ledger journal entries during month-end close
- Compile and submit monthly internal control documentation
- Assist with annual audit preparation, including gathering and organizing supporting documentation
- Manage annual property and real estate tax filings and payments
- Maintain the fixed assets register and track capital projects
- Support ad hoc accounting projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word and Outlook
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with excellent time management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Acumatica ERP is a plus
