Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A School Psychologist opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year in Barre, VT, serving the Barre Unified Union School District. This full-time, contract position offers a meaningful role supporting students’ psychological and educational needs within a school setting.

Location: Barre, VT
Contract Dates: August 28, 2026 – June 18, 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: To be determined and discussed during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and development
  • Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and guidance to students
  • Use data-driven strategies to identify student needs and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Valid State certification/license in School Psychology in Vermont
  • Proven experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and students
  • Strong assessment and counseling skills
  • Commitment to working in-person in the school environment
