Location: Harrisburg, PA
Pay Rate: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in a blended call center environment. This role involves both inbound and outbound calls with healthcare customers, focusing on resolving billing inquiries and facilitating payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding self-pay balances, insurance updates, and billing disputes.
- Conduct reminder call campaigns to collect outstanding healthcare balances.
- Explain charges and assist customers with understanding their Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Provide guidance on payment options, eligibility, and instructions for mail-in or on-site payments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of client operations and healthcare billing procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or call center setting.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Be able to learn multiple separate client computer systems quickly and manipulate them efficiently.
• Oral and written English language skills with a strong emphasis on articulate communication.
• Be comfortable talking to others over the phone for extended time periods.
• Be highly self motivated and also able to work in an environment that promotes positive customer service practices.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a call center environment with an emphasis on outbound contact.
• 1 year experience in a physician billing / health insurance / hospital billing office capacity and knowledge of medical insurance terminology
• Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
