Location:Primary:135 William T Morrissey Blvd, Ste S110A Boston, MA 02125, Seasonal:Long Island, Boston Harbor.

Hours:Exempt, Full Time, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM 7:00 PM, Seasonal: 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM.

Start Date: June, 2026


Summary of Position

The 9thgrade RISE (Realizing Interests through Support and Exploration) program guidesstudents throughan 8-month journey on identity discovery and developing social-emotional skills. RISEis a prerequisite for the 10th-12th grade Leader in Training (LIT) program.The RISE Program Coordinator's primary role is to recruit rising 9th graders and plan engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities.The coordinator will collaborate with the Leadership Academy Directorand teamto lead 75-100 students through a program emphasizing Social Emotional Learning, career exploration, college readiness, andexecutive functioningskills.After the programis complete, the RISE coordinator will guide thestudents through an interview and application process and narrow down the class to around 40 students to form the next 10thgrade LIT cohort.

Throughout the school year, the coordinator will leadaweekly communitynight.In the summer, the RISE program runs alongside Camp Harbor View on Long Island, where the coordinator will recruit rising 9th graders for year-round programs and support the LIT and camp programs as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit rising 9th graders into the RISE program;
  • Create and implement a rich leadership-based curriculum with a focus on SEL and self-discovery that fits monthly program theme;
  • Lead leadership workshops, team building activities, and group discussions;
  • Maintain program attendance;
  • Assistin enforcing expectations for the RISE Program;
  • Conduct formal evaluations of the RISE participants' job goals andpost-secondaryplans;
  • Work with each program participant on an individual basis to set goals andmonitorprogress toward achieving those goals. Participate in individual and group supervision sessions;
  • Passionate about building a culture of college and career prep, vocational education, and expanding opportunities;
  • Coordinate and run activities and field trips;
  • Maintain cleanliness of program areas;
  • Other related duties as specified by the Leadership Academy Director

Qualifications

  • Creative, adaptable, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about young peoples growth and development;
  • At least two years experience working with youth in an out of schoolsetting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to motivate others and produce results
  • Bachelors degreerequired, or equivalent certifications and/or experience
  • Strong understanding of the Boston educational landscape and its key dynamics.
  • Proven experience in leading administrative systems and processes related to the coordination of youth services
  • Proficiencyinutilizingdata to drive continuous improvement in program outcomes
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment with a strong commitment to the organization's mission
