Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Lease Compliance Analyst to join our team. The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing the full cycle of commercial real estate leases, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in managing lease agreements. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and superior communication abilities. In addition to these core competencies, the ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrate the ability to drive innovative solutions and best practices in lease management. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for leading complex projects, providing strategic insights, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance overall lease compliance and administration processes.
Key Position Accountabilities
- Oversee and manage a large complex portfolio of lease agreements, ensuring compliance by both landlord and tenant. This involves monitoring lease start and end dates, renewal options, and termination deadlines, and accurately managing this data within the organization’s systems.
- Abstract and input lease documents such as leases, amendments, assignments, terminations, etc. into the company real estate software (MRI) with a 98% accuracy rate.
- Draft and issue legal notices, while also leading the drafting and negotiation of confirmation of commencement agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Proactively identify and address lease compliance issues, minimizing risks and liabilities across leased facilities.
- Develop and implement lease administration policies and procedures, identify process improvements, and implement changes.
- Collaborate with senior management to align lease compliance strategies with organizational goals
- Monitor critical lease dates and conditions to ensure timely execution of clauses, options, and obligations, and compliance with notice periods, thereby minimizing risks and optimizing lease portfolio performance.
- Conduct detailed analysis of lease terms and conditions to ensure compliance, identify potential risks, and provide strategic insights.
- Prepare comprehensive property reports for management, lenders/partners, and cross-functional partners to support strategic decision-making and enhance collaboration.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Leadership team of Lease Compliance and Analysis to obtain all legal documentation to be entered into MRI in a timely manner and resolve tenant-related issues.
- Establish metrics to evaluate property and lease performance, including financial analysis and operational compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting, Tenant Coordination, Legal, Collections, and Property Management teams, providing detailed analysis and strategic insights to support lease compliance and administration processes.
- Liaise with the Leasing Department to obtain information on future leasing activity and to verify the status of tenant documentation.
- Create and communicate best practices and provide training for the team.
- Exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently, ensuring tasks are completed on time without constant supervision.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in lease administration or relevant field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to learn the company's specific real estate software which includes MRI and Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in identifying discrepancies, verifying financial data, and ensuring compliance with lease terms.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
