PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for programming and maintaining CMM machines and troubleshoot minor mechanical and PCDMIS programming issues. Provide CMM data to Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments to maintain optimal operations of all machining processes. Increase capability of Inspection Lab technicians and inspectors by acting as a mentor and trainer in all matters of CMM inspections.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists the Quality Manager and supports the quality and manufacturing areas in Quality Assurance, engineering, and inspection functions.
  • Assists in the implementation of QC/QA procedures throughout the company.
  • Participates with Quality Assurance to assist in developing inspection plans. Assures that quality requirements are understood and attainable.
  • Develop or QC and Manufacturing inspection plan and methods.
  • Program Vision/CMM systems.
  • Assist training inspectors in methods, statistics, GDT, and Vision Systems.
  • Works with engineering, quality lead, and management to ensure acceptable product.
  • Correlates CMM inspection data with hand inspection tools and/or plate inspections including micrometer, indicators, height gages, etc.
  • Understanding of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.
  • Candidate shall be able to program CMM using PCDMIS software


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years minimum of CMM Programmer experience and working in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering prints and application of GD&T methodology
  • Knowledge in methods of manually gaging machine parts.
  • Level 1, 2, or 3 PCDMIS Certifications preferred
