Learning Facilitator (Part-Time)Position Overview
Homeschool Haven Collective (HHC) is a membership-based homeschool co-learning space serving students in grades 3–12. We are seeking warm, dependable, and engaging Learning Facilitators to support students during independent work time, enrichment activities, and collaborative learning experiences.
This role is not a traditional classroom teaching position. Facilitators guide, supervise, encourage, and support students in a respectful, flexible learning environment while maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere.
Schedule & Classification

Part-time (approximately 10–20 hours per week)

Weekday hours (primarily daytime)

In-person role at our Johns Creek location

Hourly pay: $12–$15 per hour, based on experience and availability

This is a W-2 employee position
Key Responsibilities
Student Support & Supervision
-
Supervise students during independent learning, group work, and enrichment activities
-
Encourage focus, respectful behavior, and positive peer interactions
-
Assist students with task clarification (not curriculum instruction unless assigned)

Monitor transitions between spaces and activities
Learning Environment
-
Help maintain a calm, welcoming, and organized learning space

Support use of shared areas such as the Library, Quiet Nook, Collab Lab, STEM Lab, Writing Sanctuary, and Maker’s Space

Reinforce community expectations and policies consistently
Communication & Professionalism
-
Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and HHC staff
-
Report concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues to leadership promptly
-
Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally presented
General Duties
-
Light setup and reset of learning areas as needed

Assist with check-in/check-out procedures
-
Support special events, clubs, or workshops as scheduled
Qualifications
Required
-
Experience working with children or teens (education, childcare, tutoring, youth programs, homeschooling, etc.)
-
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to supervise groups of students across multiple age levels
-
Comfortable enforcing rules with kindness and consistency
Preferred (but not required)
-
Background in education, child development, or youth programming
-
Familiarity with homeschooling or alternative education environments
-
Skills or interests in areas such as STEM, writing, arts, music, or enrichment clubs
