Job Description
As a Senior Building and Field Inspector, you'll be the go-to expert for construction materials testing and special inspections across high-profile commercial and industrial projects in the Denver metro area. You'll lead field efforts, mentor junior technicians, and ensure that every structure meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced inspections and materials testing on active job sites.
- Prepare and review detailed inspection reports and test data.
- Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Mentor and guide junior field staff, with potential to lead inspection teams.
- Travel locally to project sites (company vehicle provided).
- Work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions.
What You Bring:
Olsson is looking for a seasoned professional who thrives in the field and takes pride in precision. You're collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about building better communities.
- 5+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, and testing.
- ICC Commercial Building Inspector certification (required).
- ACI Grade 1, WAQTC, and/or Nuclear Gauge certifications (preferred).
- ACI Laboratory Certification (a plus).
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and plan-reading skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and alertness in all work environments.
Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.
Colorado Pay Range$28—$40 USDAdditional Information
