Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a school-based contract position in Henrico, VA. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language therapy services to students in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and certification (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with pediatric populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
- Ability to build rapport with children, families, and school staff
- Effective communication and organizational skills
