An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with operating room experience to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in Espanola, NM. This contract role requires readiness to begin within 7-10 days from the offer acceptance, supporting a well-equipped acute care setting known for serving Northern New Mexico. Admission to this role is contingent on possession of all required certifications at the time of application; additional certification requirements may apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient operation room flow
  • Maintain adherence to sterile techniques and surgical protocols
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes during procedures
  • Document patient care activities and surgical events accurately

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Operating Room experience
  • Compliance with New Mexico state requirements including fingerprinting and background checks
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
  • Critical thinking and patient-focused decision-making skills
