Lab Assistant – Quality Control
Location: Harrisonville MO
Pay: $18–$21/hour
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shift | Shifts: 6 PM – 6 AM NGHT SHIFT
Training: First 3 weeks on day shift (8.5 hours between 6 AM – 6 PM)
Environment: Manufacturing lab with strong safety culture and growth opportunities
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support daily batch testing and raw material analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You’ll work hands-on with chemical assays, lab instrumentation, and data systems to ensure product quality and safety. This is a great opportunity to grow your lab career with a team that values development and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform batch and physical testing using standard chemical assays
- Operate and troubleshoot lab computers and analytical instruments
- Conduct incoming raw material testing and verify quality against benchmarks
- Document analytical data, audits, and logs in compliance with company policy
- Assist with investigations of non-chemical anomalies on the production floor
- Support plant trial requests and special testing projects
- Maintain lab cleanliness and equipment through routine housekeeping
- Follow GLP standards for safe chemical handling
- Collaborate with chemists and cross-functional teams as needed
- Ensure consistent and reliable attendance
Qualifications
- 1+ years of lab or testing experience (wet chemistry preferred)
- Troubleshooting and calibration skills
- Strong chemical handling and batch testing knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Solid communication, organization, and time management skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts
- Knowledge of HPLC is a plus
- Open to candidates with or without a degree
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
