Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Hours per Week: 34.5
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Compensation:

• Local Rate: $2,415 per week

• Travel Rate: $2,794 per week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a high-volume maternity unit in Brooklyn, NY. This is a night-shift contract opportunity for a dedicated RN with strong maternal-child health expertise, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Immediate start preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit

• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care

• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures

• Assist with conscious sedation as clinically indicated

• Support safe deliveries and newborn stabilization

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required through NYSED)

• Current certifications:

  • AHA BLS

  • AHA ACLS

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
