Position Title: Loadout Crew Laborer (Entry Level)

Description:
The Loadout Crew Laborer at Prestressed Concrete Construction plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our production yard. This position involves a variety of tasks including assisting the crane operator, driving trucks, operating forklifts and small tractors, loading and unloading production, and maintaining a clean and organized yard. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and capable of performing physical labor in an outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the crane operator with loading and unloading concrete products, ensuring proper rigging and secure lifting of materials.
- Operate swamper trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and small tractors to move trailers, production materials, and maintain yard functionality.
- Load production pieces onto trailers and semi-trucks for transport, ensuring loads are secure and meet quality standards.
- Unload materials and store them in designated areas according to operational guidelines.
- Strip concrete pieces from beds and prepare them for the next production cycle.
- Perform yard maintenance tasks, including cleaning and organizing, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate efficient daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as swamper trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and small tractors.
- Basic knowledge of rigging and material handling procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads (up to 75 lbs.).
- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move continuously during the shift.
