Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities through cold outreach, lead qualification, and marketing-driven prospecting. You will work closely with senior sales leadership to support the top of the sales funnel, identify high-quality leads, and schedule meetings with key decision-makers.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in the logistics industry who enjoys outbound outreach, networking, and building early-stage business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound cold calls and email campaigns to generate leads and set up introductory meetings
  • Research target companies and contacts using CRM tools, LinkedIn, industry databases, and other prospecting platforms
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine sales potential and fit with our services
  • Collaborate with the team to help develop and execute lead generation strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, meetings, and follow-ups in the CRM system
  • Assist in preparing sales decks, meeting materials, and customized outreach messages
  • Support tradeshow/event preparation and attend industry events to generate leads (occasional travel preferred but optional)
  • Work closely with senior sales team to pass off qualified opportunities and track conversion

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related supply chain services
  • Basic understanding of logistics services such as ocean freight, customs clearance, LTL/FTL, and warehousing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales development, telemarketing, or outbound prospecting role
  • Excellent phone presence and communication skills—comfortable initiating conversations with new contacts
  • Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up consistently
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows is preferred but optional (3-4 times per year)
  • Experience with CRM software is a plus
