Satellite Services, Inc. is looking for several Grounds Maintenance / Laborers to assist with our contract with Grissom Joint Air Reserve Base, IN. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt CBA position to start August 1, 2026.

The Grounds Maintenance/Laborer performs tasks that primarily require physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. This position is responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained as a pleasing, professional business environment, with minimal disruption to tenants and visitors. performing one or more of the following tasks: mowing grass, using walking-type or riding mowers, trim hedges and edges around walkways, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools, prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools, sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide. Job duties also include planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs, watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system, collecting and burning or carts away leaves, paper or other litter; repairing and painting fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings. May make other minor repairs, general hauling, sweeping and other general work duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

This position is physically demanding in that Grounds Maintenance / Laborers must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, often in extreme heat or cold. This position requires the ability to frequently: push, pull, lift, bend, stoop, walk, and stand. Requires constant exposure to outdoor environmental conditions, noise, varying weather conditions and exposure to dust, dirt, pollen, etc. and traffic. The ability to lift up to 75lbs is required. Manual dexterity is a must; motions with arms and hands are repetitive in nature.

Required Job Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Site Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• All applicants are subject to pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Must be able to work independently

Desired Job Qualifications:

• Previous experience as grounds worker or laborer is preferred

Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

• Valid Driver's License

Work Schedule:

• Up to 40 hours per week (some positions may be Seasonal)
• Various shifts, which may include Saturdays and Sundays

Essential Personnel

This position may be designated as essential. This means that when the facility is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.
