Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects, including renovations and new builds within active hospital and clinical environments. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of healthcare construction protocols, including infection control and regulatory compliance, and excels at managing teams and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day field operations for healthcare construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel
- Ensure strict compliance with ICRA standards, OSHA safety requirements, and healthcare facility protocols
- Manage and enforce schedules, quality control, and jobsite documentation
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and consultants
- Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
- Maintain thorough daily reporting and communication with the project management team
- Oversee inspections, permits, and adherence to local and federal construction codes
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years focused in healthcare environments
- Proven ability to manage renovation and ground-up construction in active medical settings
- Familiarity with infection control standards (ICRA), AHCA, and Joint Commission requirements
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally to project sites
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required
