As North America's largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure, we develop and operate projects that power communities and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future.

We're seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead and enhance our tax forecasting and strategic tax operations function. This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of Tax, Finance, FP&A, and Executive Leadership, providing critical insights that influence business decisions, investor outcomes, and long-term growth strategies.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical tax expertise with financial forecasting, business planning, transaction analysis, and executive-level communication in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously improve the company's tax forecasting process, including taxable income projections, cash tax forecasting, estimated tax payments, tax distributions, and allocation methodologies.
  • Deliver timely and accurate tax forecasts that support business planning, investment decisions, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Analyze forecast-to-actual results and communicate key trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Finance, Accounting, and Tax teams to align tax forecasts with budgets, business plans, and long-range financial projections.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives through scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and transaction impact assessments.
  • Partner with tax planning and compliance teams to evaluate tax law changes and ensure forecasting assumptions remain current and accurate.
  • Prepare and review investor tax reporting deliverables and supporting analyses.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for tax-related questions from investors and internal stakeholders.
  • Present tax forecasts, results, and strategic insights to senior leadership and key decision-makers.
  • Develop scalable processes and reporting tools that improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Leverage systems such as Oracle and OneStream to automate data collection, reporting, and forecasting activities.
  • Own complex quarterly tax calculations and analyses that support both forecasting and compliance functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience.
  • CPA, Master's in Taxation, or equivalent advanced tax credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax principles impacting partnerships, corporations, and investors.
  • Experience with partnership taxation and complex ownership structures.
  • Background in energy, infrastructure, power, real estate, manufacturing, or other capital-intensive industries.
  • Experience in tax forecasting, financial modeling, tax provision, or other tax-adjacent finance functions.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex tax concepts to executive and non-tax audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience working with financial systems such as Oracle, OneStream, and advanced Excel modeling.

Why This Role?

  • High visibility with senior leadership and direct influence on strategic business decisions.
  • Opportunity to shape and modernize a critical tax forecasting function.
  • Exposure to complex transactions, tax planning initiatives, and investor-facing activities.
  • Collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Work on projects that support one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy and help power the future of energy.
