Job Summary
Circuit Spring is seeking a Junior Electronics Engineering Technician to support electronics manufacturing, testing, and quality efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong hands-on background who has grown through production or technician roles and is ready to expand into testing, fixture development, rework, calibration, and manufacturing support.
As a small, collaborative team, Circuit Spring offers a unique opportunity to do a little bit of everything—from building and running tests to supporting manufacturing equipment and improving processes.
Testing & Test Support
- Perform functional and electrical testing on PCBs and electronic assemblies
- Assist in the development, assembly, and maintenance of test fixtures
- Execute test procedures and help document test processes
- Troubleshoot basic test failures and escalate issues as needed
- Support continuous improvement of test coverage and efficiency
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Provide hands-on support during production builds and troubleshooting
- Assist with PCB rework and repair (SMT and through-hole)
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and pilot builds
- Help maintain and calibrate test equipment and measurement tools
Quality & Process Support
- Perform inspections and verification to ensure product quality
- Assist with failure analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain clear and accurate records for testing, calibration, and quality activities
- Follow documented processes and contribute to process improvements
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Technical degree (Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar) with 3+ years of hands-on experience, OR 6+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing or related technician roles
- Practical experience testing, troubleshooting, or assembling electronic hardware
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
- Comfortable using basic test equipment (multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and responsibilities
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience operating SMT pick and place and/or selective soldering machines
- PCB rework and soldering experience
- Exposure to manufacturing test environments
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
- Experience working in small-team or startup-style manufacturing environments
