The WABE internship program is designed to provide students with a learning opportunity in broadcasting and the functional areas of Radio and Television. Interns experience job shadowing, hands-on training, mentorship, real-time feedback, and real work experience. WABE offers internships in Radio News, Production, Marketing, and Information Technology.
Note: Internship opportunities become available and are determined by departmental request. Some opportunities may not be available during all open internship periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, in particular), Canva
- Ability to multitask, from one project to the next, with ease and flexibility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain an organized workflow
- Ability to be a team player AND problem-solve independently
- A great attitude and a willingness to learn
- All applicants must be an undergraduate or graduate college student. The internship you are applying for should complement your major/minor area of study or degree. Interns are expected to be available between 10 – 29 hours a week during an internship period. Internships are for academic credit and/or must be approved by your school or university.

Interns are expected to be available between 10 to 29 hours a week during an 8-12 week internship period. Internships are for academic credit and/or must be approved by your school or university. Two (2) letters of reference are recommended.
