We are excited to announce we are hiring a full-time, Medical Receptionist at Dr. Satya Kastuar's office in North Brunswick Township, NJ!

About the Role:

The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare facility by serving as the first point of contact for patients. This position is responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality care. The Medical Receptionist will also facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that all necessary information is conveyed efficiently. By managing administrative tasks effectively, this role contributes to a positive patient experience and supports the overall functionality of the healthcare team. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist 1 helps to create a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish to assist a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the provider's time.
  • Manage patient records, including updating information and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Handle phone calls, responding to inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Process patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.

The required skills for this position include strong communication abilities, which are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare staff effectively. Organizational skills are crucial for managing appointments and maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring that the office runs smoothly. Attention to detail is necessary when processing insurance information and handling sensitive patient data. Bilingual skills can significantly improve patient interactions, making healthcare more accessible to a diverse community.
