Operations Manager
Rolling Suds of Tampa Bay | Veteran-Owned & Operated
Rolling Suds of Tampa Bay, a veteran-owned and operated professional power washing company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day field operations. With over 30 years of industry expertise behind us, we're scaling quickly and need a hands-on operator who knows this trade inside and out, leads crews with confidence, and runs a tight, safe, high-quality operation every single day.
You'll report directly to the General Manager and own the execution side of the business: crews, schedules, equipment, job quality, and safety. This is not a sales or P&L role. It's a leadership role for someone who has lived in the trucks, managed teams in the field, and wants to be the person who makes sure every job gets done right, on time, and to spec.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Management: Run all daytime field operations end to end. Dispatch crews, manage schedules, sequence jobs efficiently, and adjust in real time when weather, equipment, or site conditions change. Keep the trucks rolling and the work flowing.
Crew Leadership & Development: Directly supervise crew leads and technicians. Set clear expectations, run daily huddles, conduct ride-alongs and quality checks, and coach team members on technique, productivity, and professionalism. Build a crew culture rooted in pride, accountability, and craftsmanship.
Job Quality & Customer Experience: Own the quality of every job that leaves our yard. Walk sites when needed, review photo documentation, handle escalations, and make sure clients get the result they were promised. When something goes sideways, you're the one who makes it right.
Equipment & Fleet Management: Keep the equipment ready and the trucks road-worthy. Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate mobile repairs when breakdowns happen, manage chemical and supply inventory, and make sure crews have what they need before they leave the yard each morning.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on every job site, including lift operations, chemical handling, PPE, and traffic control. Lead safety training, document incidents, and keep the team compliant with OSHA and site-specific requirements.
Reporting to the GM: Provide the GM with regular updates on crew performance, job completion rates, equipment status, and operational issues. Flag problems early, propose solutions, and execute on decisions quickly.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of professional power washing experience required. You've done the work, you understand the chemistry, the equipment, the surfaces, and the pitfalls.
3+ years of leadership experience managing crews, teams, or field operations in a service-based trade (power washing, pressure cleaning, painting, landscaping, roofing, or similar).
Proven ability to run multiple crews and job sites simultaneously without dropping quality or safety.
Strong working knowledge of power washing equipment: hot water units, surface cleaners, soft wash systems, lifts, and related tools.
Comfortable with scheduling software, job management platforms, and basic reporting tools.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Skills & Attributes
Hands-On Operator: You lead from the field, not from a desk. You're comfortable jumping in on a tough job, troubleshooting equipment, or backing up a crew when the day demands it.
Team Leader: You know how to build trust with a crew, hold people accountable without losing them, and develop techs into leads.
Organized & Detail-Oriented: You track the details, from PM schedules to job photos to chemical inventory, and nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
Calm Under Pressure: Breakdowns, weather delays, and last-minute client changes don't rattle you. You adjust, communicate, and keep moving.
Quality-Driven: You take pride in a job done right and expect the same from your team.
