Job Description
Job Description
About the role
We are a small, established aircraft parts company. This is not a fulfillment center. You will not be scanning boxes on an assembly line. This is a specialized role where accuracy and proper documentation matter more than speed, and the parts you handle go onto aircraft.
We are looking for a receiving clerk who takes paperwork seriously and understands that traceability and proper handling are not optional. You will receive incoming aircraft parts, verify documentation, manage inventory records, and ensure everything is stored and labeled correctly. If something does not match, you flag it. If documentation is incomplete, you do not just put it on the shelf.
What the job looks like day to day
• Receive incoming shipments and verify parts against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect parts for condition and ensure accompanying documentation is complete and accurate
• Handle and file Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and maintain hazmat compliance records
• Enter receiving data into our inventory system (we use Quantum/Component Control and will train you on it)
• Organize warehouse storage so parts are accessible, properly labeled, and accounted for
• Pick, pack, and ship outgoing orders with correct paperwork
• Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams on discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods
• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds without assistance
What you need
• Experience working with MSDS/SDS sheets and handling regulated or hazardous materials properly
• Comfort with paperwork-heavy environments where documentation accuracy is critical
• Previous warehouse or receiving experience (at least 1-2 years preferred)
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently without constant supervision
• Basic computer skills for inventory data entry
Nice to have (not required)
• Experience with aviation parts, aerospace, or any regulated parts industry
• Familiarity with Quantum software or similar ERP/inventory systems
• Knowledge of IATA hazmat guidelines
• Familiarity with trace documentation (8130-3 tags, condition codes, serialized parts)
Why this job
This is a small company, not a revolving door. You will learn a specialized industry, work with a tight-knit team, and have room to grow. We offer health insurance and a pension plan, which is rare for warehouse roles at this level. If you want to build a career in aviation parts rather than just move boxes, this is a good fit.
