Touring Dance Competition Photographer (Travel Paid) - April-May Gig

We are a national event production company covering a nationwide dance competition tour and are seeking a high-performance live-action photographer to join our team for paid gig work during March, April, and May.

This role involves traveling with our tour team for approximately 4–5 weekends during the season.

What You’ll Do

• Capture fast-paced stage performances (no flash)

• Photograph 30–40 images per routine/50 plus for groups

• Work efficiently in a live show environment

• Assist with basic setup/breakdown (about 1 hour)

What We’re Looking For

You should be someone who:

• Knows their camera inside and out (manual shooting required)

• Can deliver sharp, well-timed action shots consistently

• Performs well under pressure in fast-moving environments

• Has strong timing and anticipation skills

• Works professionally as part of a team

Dance photography experience is a plus — but not required.
Live-action sports or stage photography experience is strongly preferred.

Equipment Requirements

• 70–200mm f/2.8 lens (required)

• 20–70mm f/2.8 or similar fast zoom

• Professional DSLR or mirrorless camera body

Pay & Perks

$2.25 per routine

Example earnings:

• 400 routines = $900

• 500 routines = $1,125

Schedule Details

• Events typically run Thursday/Friday through Monday

• Travel includes locations such as California, Texas, Wisconsin, and more

• Must be available for multiple weekends between April–May
