Production Supervisor - Manager | Indianapolis, IN | Manufacturing Operations

A 500-person manufacturing facility in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor - Manager. We are looking for a professional to oversee Manufacturing Operations and lead the facility through continued growth and operational expansion.

Description

• Operations Management: Provide direct leadership for Manufacturing Operations, managing the work of Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and shop floor personnel.
• Performance & Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics to track production data, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall plant productivity.
• Plant Operations: Oversee daily Plant Operations, ensuring all teams adhere to strict quality and safety standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Work alongside Quality Engineers and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and 5S initiatives.
• Strategic Projects: Develop and manage various projects across the entire operation to support the facility's ongoing expansion.

Skills & Requirements

• Leadership Experience: 5-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Production Management or Operations Management.
• Operational Excellence: Manage 5S, Quality, Production Efficiency, throughput, and Safety.
• Team Management: Experience managing a team of team leaders and/or supervisors.
• Professional Background: Ideally suited for an experienced Production Supervisor or Operations Manager with a background in high-volume environments.
• Sector Expertise: Prior experience in Automotive or Stamping or Forging or another similar high volume manufacturing is valued.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and chart creation; ability to read blueprints is required.
• Qualifications: Degree is not required; we prioritize hands-on leadership and a proven track record in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Location: Candidates must currently reside in or be willing to commute to Indianapolis, IN.
