Job Overview and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver professional nursing care to patients by employing the nursing process. You will work closely with the patient's family and collaborate with other healthcare team members, including physicians, to implement, assess, and coordinate the care plan.
Qualifications Needed:

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Minimum educational requirement: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within six months of hire.
S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required within six months of hire.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
Experience in NICU or nursery settings is preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and write basic English and understand physician orders.
Knowledge of body substance isolation protocols.
Strong listening and empathetic skills to address the needs of patients, families, and colleagues.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
