A Day in the Life of a Resolutions Specialist at MCCU
As a Resolution Specialist, your day will be spent balancing people skills with problem-solving. You'll:
- Connect with members by phone, email, and mail to discuss past-due accounts in a professional and empathetic way.
- Analyze account details to identify repayment options, verify member information, and ensure all actions are in compliance with credit union policies and regulations.
- Negotiate solutions that help members bring accounts current while protecting the credit union from risk.
- Document everything thoroughly and accurately, keeping records up to date so the team and regulators have a clear picture of activity.
- Stay adaptable, as priorities may shift quickly depending on member needs, workload, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with teammates and other departments when accounts require escalations or additional support.
This is a role where you'll be busy from start to finish, working independently but with the full backing of your team and leadership. Success means finding the balance between empathy and accountability; helping members through challenges while ensuring the credit union remains financially strong.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to task switch as needed
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
