Located in Tualatin, Oregon; this surgery clinic specializes in Mohs surgery, a precise skin cancer treatment that offers the highest cure rates for nonmelanoma skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Overview
This temporary position lasts 14 weeks. The receptionist is responsible for processing insurance faxes and handling standard front desk duties, including checking in patients as they arrive. Each receptionist schedules 10–12 surgical patients per day, with each scheduling call typically taking 10–15 minutes. All surgeries are for a single provider and take place Monday through Thursday. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification, managing referrals, and completing prior authorizations.
Responsibilities
-Day surgery scheduling 10-12 patients daily 10-15 min. each
-Insurance verification
-Prior authorization requests
-updating EMRs (MODMED)
-Calling insurance for referrals
-Receiving faxes from insurance
-Using Microsoft office to schedule, communicate with other office staff, organize information, and reach out to insurance
-Filling and faxing
-Checking in patients for appointments
-Processing co-payments
-Schedules, cancels, and reschedules appointments as necessary.
-Scans all documents into patient’s chart in an efficient, accurate, timely manner
-Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by managing patient appointments on schedule, assist with completion of intake forms, notifying provider teams of arrival and/or reason for all delay in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience scheduling at a medical clinic

  • Comfortable learning new software programs


Schedule: Monday - Friday (10:00AM - 4:00PM)
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly based on experience
