Job Title: Truck Driver
Reports to: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
Position Status: Full Time Non-Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Safely drives company vehicles, including larger box trucks, flatbeds, or tractor trailers, in compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. Handles scheduled transfers of materials, inventory, or products between company locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely drives company vehicles, including up to 26-foot box trucks, in compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
- Handles scheduled transfers of materials, inventory, or products between company locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Picks up goods, equipment, and materials from local suppliers or vendors, verifying items against purchase orders or delivery documents.
- Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reports maintenance issues, and ensures safe operation of the vehicle at all times.
- Assists with loading and unloading products, securing cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Represents the company professionally when interacting with vendors, internal staff, or external contacts during pickups or transfers
- Follows all company policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations, contributing to a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English or Spanish – Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduates preferred.
- CDL Required Class C
