Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing ManagerLocation: Sauk Rapids, MNCompensation: $101,000-$127,000 annuallyJob Type: Direct Hire, Full-timeAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Manufacturing Manager for a company located in Sauk Rapids, MN. In this role, you’ll lead people and processes across multiple departments to ensure production meets company goals. If you enjoy driving efficiency, leading teams, and applying Lean Manufacturing principles, this position could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do as a Manufacturing Manager:

  • Build annual and quarterly plans that support the company’s vision and share them with your team
  • Lead supervisors and team leads to meet weekly and monthly production schedules
  • Ensure safety rules are followed, training is completed, and PPE is used
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools daily to improve processes
  • Recommend new equipment, technology, and scheduling methods to boost efficiency
  • Track and manage equipment and labor capacity
  • Keep production aligned with the master schedule and material planning
  • Reduce maintenance costs by minimizing breakdowns and failures
  • Ensure employees are properly trained to meet work instructions and customer requirements
  • Hire, coach, and manage team performance
  • Resolve conflicts and improve communication across groups
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and assign actions
  • Run effective start-up meetings with clear visuals for the team
  • Audit processes regularly
  • Stay current on new technology and industry practices

What You Need to Bring to the Manufacturing Manager Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing OR equivalent welding/fabrication experience
  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing with direct reports and large teams
  • Strong background in machining, welding, and steel fabrication preferred
  • Knowledge of GMAW, SMAW, FCAW welding processes preferred
  • Experience with Lean tools, ERP/MRP systems, 5S, and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to develop supervisors and lead teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Commitment to safety and ability to read manufacturing paperwork and engineering documents
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
