Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a Registered Nurse with school-based experience to provide nursing services in a high school setting. This contract role requires servicing an entire school building and supporting district-wide health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care and health education to students and staff within a high school environment.
- Manage student health records, medication administration, and emergency care.
- Collaborate with school personnel and healthcare providers to support student health and wellness.
- Ensure compliance with state and district health policies and maintain proper documentation.
- Serve as a health resource for staff, students, and families, addressing individual and community health concerns.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure and certifications valid in New Jersey.
- Previous school nursing experience is essential; clinical settings alone do not meet requirements.
- Ability to work onsite and commit to a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
- Must complete required fingerprinting for both the agency and the district.
- Proof of TB clearance and a recent physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and ability to conduct interviews in person or via Zoom.
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite at a high school in Orange, NJ.
- Duration: Full semester contract, starting ASAP through June 26, 2026.
- Availability: Four openings available to support district-wide initiatives across various school buildings.
