Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
- Verify and record shipment details against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments according to specifications and carrier requirements.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of received and shipped goods.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse or receiving area for efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and transportation departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Forklift certification
- - Experience with inventory management software
- - Basic understanding of shipping regulations (e.g., HAZMAT)
- - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
