We’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in various locations in Minnesota.
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity that offers both purpose and professional growth.
Available locations: Robbinsdale, Minnetonka, Brooklyn Center, Maple Grove.
Compensation: $19.76 – $29.64 per hour (Depends on Experience and location)
The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in managing and treating their patients. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups, requiring individualized care, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive, and delegated tasks as described in the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice. Delegable tasks and competencies are specific to the role of the Supervising Nurse and Supervising Provider and are described by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. The Medical Assistant receives direction and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department, and organization. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions, or problems that arise are an essential element of the Medical Assistant role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers by managing clinic flow, performing rooming procedures, immunizations, injections, and lab specimen collection.
- Support clinical operations through prescription refills, telephone triage, x-ray duties (if certified), and clinic lab tests.
- Provide administrative assistance including front desk tasks, supply management, and prior authorizations.
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic managers to ensure quality care and smooth communication.
- Maintain and enhance skill proficiency in accordance with scope of practice and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED – Required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program – Required
- Medical Assistant certification – Required
- BLS certification – Required
- Previous clinical experience – Required
- X-ray certification or willingness to obtain based on clinic needs
- Strong multitasking, communication, and computer skills
