Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer (Municipal Infrastructure)

Job Summary
We are seeking a career-driven Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our rapidly growing municipal engineering practice. This role focuses on leading engineering design for water distribution systems, sewer rehabilitation, treatment facilities, pump stations, and sewershed studies. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality designs on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support water/wastewater engineering design for municipal infrastructure projects
- Perform hydraulic analysis, system modeling, and design computations
- Evaluate collection and distribution system deficiencies and develop engineering solutions
- Prepare engineering reports, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Manage project schedules and coordinate with internal teams and clients
- Conduct QA/QC reviews in accordance with project management plans
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with hydraulic design, sewer rehabilitation, pump stations, and treatment processes
- Strong technical writing and communication skills

Nice to Have
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience working with county and state agencies
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional field work
- Some outdoor exposure and limited lifting (up to 25 lbs)
