Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This special education teaching opportunity is ideal for educators with experience in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and Special Day Classes. Located in Marysville, CA, this contract position runs from ASAP through June 3rd, 2026. The role focuses on supporting students with special needs by providing individualized instruction and managing classroom resources effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Applying Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support positive student behavior
- Leading and coaching a team of 5-9 paraeducators within the classroom
- Managing a caseload of 10-15 students to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Collaborating with school staff and specialists to deliver comprehensive support
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience teaching in an ESN Special Day Class environment
- Strong understanding and practical experience in creating and managing IEPs
- Ability to implement Behavior Intervention Plans effectively
- Proven skills in leading and managing paraprofessional staff
