Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg/Telemetry (Float Pool)
Location: Cleveland, OH
Position Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks (High potential for extension or permanent placement)
Compensation
- Local Pay: $2,000 – $2,100 per week
- Traveler Pay: $2,450 – $2,550 per week
- Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation
Position Overview
We are seeking adaptable and highly skilled Registered Nurses (RN) to join a hospital-wide Float Pool, supporting multiple Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in dynamic environments, are confident in telemetry monitoring, and can quickly adapt to varying patient populations and unit workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, direct bedside patient care across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
- Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac telemetry rhythms, identifying abnormalities and escalating critical findings.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and manage care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and manage complex treatment protocols.
- Maintain accurate, real-time documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and seamless patient care transitions.
- Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, patient acuity levels, and staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
Licensure & Certifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience.
- Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Completion of all required onboarding, compliance, and training modules prior to start.
