Assistant General Manager - High-Volume, Neighborhood Restaurant Group
Job Description
Job Description
Are you an energetic restaurant leader who thrives in a vibrant, high-volume environment? We’ve partnered with one of DC’s most established and respected hospitality groups to find an exceptional Assistant General Manager (AGM).
We are looking for a hands-on, culture-driven leader who loves the energy of a bustling dining room, takes pride in top-tier guest experiences, and genuinely enjoys mentoring a team. If you are looking for a company that offers real upward mobility, a supportive executive team, and a fun workspace, this is it.
What’s In It For You?
- Great Pay: $75k–$85k base salary (depending on experience).
- 100% Paid Health Insurance: Full medical coverage for you, with dental and vision options available.
- 401(k) Plan to help you save for the future.
- Incredible Dining Perks: Free meals during your shifts, plus 50% off for off-duty dining at all of the group's unique concepts across the city.
- Real Career Growth: They love promoting from within—this is a stepping stone to your own GM role.
- Paid Time Off & Paid Sick Leave.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partnering directly with the General Manager to run flawless daily front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations.
- Leading, training, and inspiring a passionate team, ensuring everyone is set up for success during busy shifts.
- Delivering standard-setting guest service and handling any customer feedback with grace and professionalism.
- Managing shift logistics, supervising floor staff, and ensuring total compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Keeping an eye on the numbers—assisting with financial analysis, product quality checks, and inventory.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or strong Shift Lead in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- The Hospitality Mindset: A deep love for food and beverage, with the ability to confidently speak to ingredients, menus, and dishes.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern restaurant platforms (think Toast, HotSchedules, Paycom, TripleSeat, or RESY/OpenTable) and standard office tools.
- Leadership Style: You’re a motivator, not a boss. You know how to keep a team energized and focused when the rush hits.
- Education (A Plus): A degree in Business Administration or Hospitality/Culinary schooling is a nice bonus, but your actual floor experience is what matters most!
