Key Staffing is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for our client located in Bakersfield, CA.

Patient Care Coordinators deliver exceptional service to patients, doctors, and referral sources in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment. This is a fully on-site position located in Bakersfield, CA. To be successful, you’ll need strong communication skills, a genuine desire to help others, and strong computer proficiency.

In this role, you will assess patient and provider needs, ensure accurate order processing, and build strong customer relationships. You’ll also work closely with sales teams, manage specialized programs, and support compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process incoming orders from referral sources; obtain and verify any missing or incomplete information.

  • Handle inbound and outbound communication with patients, doctors, pharmacies, and other healthcare partners.

  • Process product orders, answer service-related questions, and verify insurance and benefit information.

  • Provide timely follow-up and updates to patients and referral sources, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Partner with sales teams to promote products and services and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Develop expertise in product offerings, patient benefits, insurance guidelines, and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with compliance inspections and maintain up-to-date documentation for office display and inspection binders.

  • Complete quarterly office inspections and report any location-related concerns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare setting where you supported staff who dispensed or prescribed prescriptions. This could include experience in a doctor’s office, clinic, DME company, pharmacy, nursing home, or rehab facility.

  • Prior experience responding to patient or customer needs with a positive, service-driven approach.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
