OEM delivers proactive supplier management solutions for the major Primes and Tier-1’s across the aerospace, defense, and shipbuilding sectors. By integrating our supplier specialists directly within supply chain networks, we deliver a level of oversight and engagement that surpasses conventional methods.
Headquartered in Arizona, OEM is experiencing rapid growth and is currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Senior Manager of Human Resources who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
This is a full-time position based in our Scottsdale, AZ corporate office. Pre-employment background and drug screening are required. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the full scope of HR responsibilities for the organization
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to establish HR plans and solutions that support strategic business initiatives and deliver results
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations
- Assist with the communication and rollout of HR programs and policies
- Suggest changes to policies and procedures based on employee and company needs
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
- Supervise all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents
- Serve as key advisor and resource for employee relations
- Process semi-monthly payroll
- Oversee performance reviews
- Oversee workers’ compensation
- Administer all benefits and oversee enrollment, change and termination of benefits
- Oversee international payroll
- Responsible for annual EEO-1 and affirmative action plan reporting
- Manage onboarding of new employees
- Manage the on-line HRIS onboarding and employee portal
- Lead new employee orientation
- Be aware of evolving government influences on management, policies, processes and practices and work to ensure that the company is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices.
- Participate in creating and implementing training, tools, processes and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field)
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the HR field
- Experience in manufacturing industry, Aerospace, Defense, Shipbuilding, or Submarine industries, preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in management roles with increasing responsibility.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training
- Experience overseeing a dispersed/multi-state workforce
- Prior experience processing payroll
- Ability to manage and enable change
- Experience managing 401 (k) plans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making.
