Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for a fully licensed couples and adult therapist to join our expanding team in a private, professionally equipped office. You’ll walk into:

• A steady client pipeline — we handle marketing so your caseload fills fast.

• Insurance already handled — we are credentialed on all major panels so you can see clients from day one.

• A shared therapy office — yours consistently, professionally equipped.

• A collaborative clinical team — consultation is real, not performative.

• Competitive W2 compensation — with clear rate progression tied to credentials.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individual therapy to adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges

• Provide couples counseling using evidence-based approaches — EFT, Gottman, or similar

• Maintain a full caseload supported by our client care and intake team

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of LPCs, LCSWs, and specialty clinicians

• Maintain clinical documentation in our EHR system

• Participate in clinical consultation and ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

• Active Texas LPC or LCSW license — fully licensed (not associate level for this role)

• Experience working with couples and/or adults in a clinical setting

• Grounded in evidence-based, theoretically driven practice — you know the why behind your clinical decisions

• Strong communicator who values clinical excellence and team collaboration

• Reliable and consistent — our clients depend on relational continuity

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required

Company DescriptionStone Oak Counselors is a clinically driven group practice in north San Antonio specializing in therapy for children, teens, adults, and families. Our clinical leadership includes an LPC Supervisor and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor — meaning this is a practice where play therapy is deeply understood, properly supervised, and genuinely valued.

We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, and United/Optum, which means families can access our services through their insurance — dramatically expanding the population of children we can serve. If you want to do meaningful play therapy work without the barrier of private pay rates, this is the right practice.
