Exceptional opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Emergency Care to contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced Emergency Department setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert emergency nursing care in a unit comprising 4 secure psychiatric beds, 25 privacy-equipped procedure rooms, and 8 hallway beds.
  • Manage complex patient cases involving trauma, stroke, cardiopulmonary issues, and psychiatric care.
  • Utilize a variety of clinical equipment including ultrasound IV devices, Lucas mechanical CPR devices, rapid infusion systems, and Alaris pumps.
  • Accurately perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and eye exams.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to execute comprehensive protocols and deliver top-quality patient care.
  • Maintain documentation in EMR systems such as Sunrise and Allscripts, ensuring meticulous patient records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years emergency department nursing experience for contract staff; 1 year preferred for permanent staff.
  • Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (contract positions require all).
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills essential.
  • Dependable, punctual, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Preferred: Experience with EKG interpretation and familiarity with orthopedic and psychiatric emergency protocols.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend coverage required.

  • Dress code includes professional scrubs; hooded shirts or sweatshirts are prohibited for safety.
  • Autonomy to order labs, imaging, medications, and conduct patient care based on protocols.
