We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Inventory & Parts Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of the Parts, Service and Sales departments. In this role, you will order, receive, organize, and track vehicle parts and shop supplies to ensure the operations has what it needs to efficiently service customers and minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities
- Parts Research: Research and identify the correct parts for various vehicle makes, models, and custom builds.
- Counter Sales: Identify parts requested by retail customers, either in person or via incoming phone calls. Invoice and finalize cash and credit card transactions.
- Procurement & Receiving: Order, receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming parts from vendors and suppliers.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; process purchase orders, invoices, warranty returns, and vendor documentation.
- Data & Optimization: Work directly with the Inventory manager to track inventory usage, recommend reorder points, and help reduce obsolete or slow-moving stock.
- Inventory Control: Work directly with the Inventory manager to maintain accurate inventory levels for vehicle parts, shop supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 - 5+ years in automotive parts, fleet maintenance, truck equipment, heavy equipment, vehicle repair, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and parts identification.
- Specialty Experience: Experience with truck bodies, commercial vehicles, snow/plow equipment, hydraulics, or trailer parts is a plus.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Shop Environment: Ability to work independently and support a fast-paced shop environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move parts and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
