Little Steps Learning Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our vibrant team of educators committed to nurturing the growth and development of young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, engaging, and interactive learning environment that promotes curiosity and creativity. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children in our care. Working closely with parents and caregivers, you will communicate effectively to create a supportive community that encourages children's exploration and learning. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Create a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes children's emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Monitor children's progress and developmental milestones, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom conducive to learning and exploration.
- Develop positive and constructive relationships with children and their families.
- Guide children in developing social skills, such as sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the center's educational team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification or childcare provider license.
- Previous experience in a daycare or early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with children.
- Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive environment for diverse groups of children.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
