We are seeking a skilled Residential AV & Smart Home Integration Technician to join our team in Wauwatosa, WI. This hands-on role offers a competitive hourly rate of $25–$37 per hour and focuses on installing, programming, and servicing custom audio/video and smart home systems for residential clients. The ideal candidate has experience with Control4, Crestron, Savant, or similar platforms and enjoys delivering seamless technology experiences directly in homeowners’ residences.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and integrate residential audio/video systems, including home theaters, TVs, distributed audio, and smart home devices.
- Program and configure Control4, Crestron, Savant, or comparable home automation platforms.
- Perform whole-home audio, video surveillance, WiFi networking, and automation installations.
- Mount TVs, install racks, run wiring, and terminate low-voltage cabling accurately.
- Test, troubleshoot, and fine-tune systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Provide in-home guidance to clients on system use, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to deliver projects on schedule and to high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with residential AV systems and smart home/CI integration (Control4, Crestron, Savant, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, networking, and system setup.
- Ability to read system diagrams, installation plans, and layouts.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for projects in Wauwatosa, WI.
- Professional, client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
